These are the tools that I used to get all of the soap scum off of my bathtub when we moved in.  They are great, although the very name of the soap scum remover is false.  There will be scrubbing.  However with this scratchy non scratchy thingy it goes really fast.  Totally recommend this for any soap descumming project.  Don't forget to turtle wax your tile!

I have no earthly clue how to say this.  I tried looking it up on dictionary.com but apparently they don't know anyone with the guts to record it.  There was no audio.  Maybe Gabe knows.  Is that even Japanese?  I have no idea.  Either way soybeans are not that unique.  The recipe that I bought these for was not the best.  Not gross just not the best.

Clever Josh

I was washing dishes after dinner one particularly quiet night.  Usually Josh stands next to me on a chair and plays in the sink while I wash dishes.  However, this particular night he was in the dining room.  He was quiet.  I was worried.  I didn't expect what I found.  He had opened the jar of peaches and a mostly empty water bottle and was taking the peaches out of the jar and putting them meticulously in the water bottle.  It was consuming him and since the peaches were not going to be saved it was an excellent way for him to spend his time.

Stuck in a Rut

Things I greatly dislike. Yep one of those days.

1. Feeling icky but not sick. Well sort of sick like sick of winter. I miss the sun.

2. Cleaning out ice cream bowls. Everyday. Because I am not the one who ate the ice cream.

3. Trying to cook everyday without using cheese or sour cream. I've given up on butter.

4.  That I FORGOT MY CAMERA ON OUR CHRISTMAS TRIP TO TEXAS!!!

 and have none of the wonderful memories to show here because of it.  Does is still exists if there are no pictures of it?

When Mom is Sick...

I caught a bug on our way home from Indianapolis on Friday.  I was very sick all weekend.  When I woke up Monday morning it looked as though my whole house had the same problem. I wish that I could post a perfectly clean house along side this one but it has been slow going.  It is a lot better now.  You can see the carpet and the laundry is put away and the christmas tree is down and put away.  I should have the cleaned up version soon. 

It has taken me the whole week to start to feel like I am getting my strength back.  I tried going to the gym for my normal 1+ hour workout and left after 15 minutes.  Too weak.  While I was at the gym I hopped on the scale.  Always a dangerous thing to do after having the flu.  I was ofcourse my goal weight.  This has happened before and I am always reminded of this quote.  "I'm only one stomach flu away from my goal weight"- Emily from The Devil Wears Prada. 

Snow

It has been snowing non stop since we hit Columbus, OH on Friday.  I feel guilty knowing that my sister, Rebecca, and brother, Matthew, would love this weather and here I am just holding my breath until I see a glimmer of sun again.  I'm afraid that it is going to be quite sometime before the sun shines on me again.  .  Since we are stuck in the land of ice and snow we are going to get some real winter gear this week.
