The Importance of Children

Russell M Nelson at the recent World Congress of Families said
“Future happiness and even the future of nations is linked to children. Families with children need to be re-enthroned as the fundamental unit of society. We simply must value children more than we do.” (http://newsroom.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/eng/news-releases-stories/elder-russell-m-nelson-addresses-international-conference-on-families) I couldn't agree more.

I love that quote! It is funny - but lately I have been cherishing little things that would have annoyed me before... i.e. children climbing into bed with us - begging for one more bedtime story - asking for prayer time, etc. I know that these years are too fleeting... I will look back one day and I only hope on that day I will feel that I have cherished each moment!

My kids are at that really awesome stage where they are just a ton of fun. Mom and Dad came over with ReeRee's kids tonight and all...they...did...was...cry! When your kids are big you forget all the bad stuff and remember the cuteness.
