Really Really Bad Stomach Flu

After calling my doctors office yesterday and telling them about Abby they said that it sounds more like the really nasty stomach flu that is 'rampant' right now. But to watch her through today. She is not better, but she doesn't have a raging fever so it's NOT SWINE FLU! She is still vomiting, diahrea-ing, mild coughing (probably part of asthma), headachy, general achy, and still has a low grade fever and general malaise. The nurse said that the vomiting generally lasts 12-24 hours and the diahrea has been lasting about 3-5 days. Yay. Meanwhile everyone else is holding out. For now.

"When you're walkin' down the street and you feel something funny---DIARRHEA!" I looked it up in the dictionary because I always like to know the proper spelling of disgusting things and it gave this etymology: "...from diarrhein to flow through, from dia+rhein to flow..." and this definition: "abnormally frequent intestinal evacuations with more or less fluid stools." And, finally, if you'd like to find out how to rate your feces from 1-7, visit www.jenteresting.blogspot.com and scroll down past the chicken coop entry-you'll love it!
