Parenting Books

It is that time of year again. I am looking for a parenting book to read. Last year I read "Parenting with Love and Logic". I really enjoyed it. Any suggestions for this year?

I like the new layout sweetheart. I have no suggestions for parenting books though.

Hola from Mexico! I was just checking in on your cute family and noticed your new blog layout - it is great!

I have to say on parenting - I try to remember 1)Admit when I am wrong - even to my children (they already know I'm not perfect). 2) Say sorry when you have hurt them in any way. 3) Remeber that they have SO much to teach me. 4) Listen to the Spirit - Father in Heaven knows them a heck of a lot better than I do!

I'm not sure on an exact book - other than "Raising a Family to the Lord" by Gene R. Cook. (I think that is the title.)

Sending my love!

Dr. Laura's website has a reading corner with tons of books on parenting.

I've enjoyed the Positive Discipline series. I also recently enjoyed Your Child's Strengths:
Discover Them, Develop Them, Use Them.

A few on my current list to read: Siblings Without Rivalry and The Toddler Busy Book (there's also a Preschooler's Busy Book). My parenting book club is also going to read Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children From Nature-Deficit Disorder.

Hope that helps!
