Do you think that Mozart had Synesthesia?

I've been thinking about this since I heard a broadcast on NPR about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia . Of all the oddities of our human brain this is one that I would really like to have. Not necessarily the common type, but some form of it would be cool. I wonder if Mozart had a rare form of this where he heard music instead of seeing colors.

Fascinating! I remotely remember hearing of synesthesia but I can't remember where or why. I was thinking I had heard of it in relation to autism but after reading wikipedia I guess not. I wonder if there is any connection between Autism and synesthesia. It would make sense to me since there is so very many unknowns about the cognitive processes of those with Autism.

I never thought of Autism and Synesthesia. The people that they interviewed on NPR suggested that it was like a secret power and they all seemed highly intelligent and socially appropriate. But ofcourse they would to be interviewed on national radio.
